2020TAX

Scope of this policy

2020TAX operations have closed. This website no longer accepts new customers, registrations, claims, deposits or payments, and the only interaction it invites is an email from existing customers awaiting a deposit refund. This policy explains how we handle personal data sent to us that way — it does not cover data processed while 2020TAX was operating, which remains governed by the privacy notice that applied to your original engagement with us.

Who we are

2020TAX was operated by TT Tax Solutions Limited (T/A TwentyTwenty Tax / 2020TAX), CRO 814127, registered in Ireland. We remain the data controller for personal data sent to us in connection with outstanding deposit refunds.

What we collect

If you email us about a deposit refund, we collect whatever you choose to include in that email — typically:

Please do not send passwords, banking login credentials, card PINs, or other security information by email. We will never ask you for these.

Why we process it

We use this information solely to identify your account, verify your entitlement to a refund, and return any deposit you are owed. This is necessary to fulfil obligations arising from your original agreement with us and to meet our accounting and legal record-keeping obligations.

Who sees it

Your information is handled by a small number of authorised staff involved in processing closure-related refunds. We do not sell or share your information for marketing purposes. We may disclose it where required by law, to our professional advisers, or to a bank or payment provider strictly to the extent needed to return your deposit.

How long we keep it

We retain refund correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve your request and to satisfy statutory retention obligations (including tax and company-law record-keeping requirements), after which it is securely deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights in connection with a deposit refund, contact us at the email address below.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
